Edenvale is situated in the Gauteng Province in South Africa.A small town in the east rand, Edenvale started out as a small settlement name Rietfontein in 1903 around the Rietfontein Gold Mine. Today, Edenvale is a very well-known part of Johannesburg and is centrally located half way between O.R Thambo Interational Airport and the Johannesburg city centre, just 12km from Sandton and 9km from a Gautrain station.
Edenvale is home to two malls, Greenstone mall and Stoneridge mall and a host of smaller shopping centres and any tourist looking to do some shopping will not be left wanting.
For the sporty type the area has a number of gyms, indoor sports such as action soccer, action cricket and indoor volleyball. There are two golf clubs as well as a number of martial arts studios.
